Young South African batting sensation Dabsured Brevis has quickly changed his head with his fearless batting and dazzling stroke. Dewald Brevis Players believe that Proteas Legend Ab Dilliers can carry forward the legacy left.
Brevis, also known as “Baby AB” for batting like AB de Villiers, is no less dramatic. Despite spending three seasons with Mumbai Indians, Brevis bounced back into style in the yellow jersey after leaving the IPL 2025 mega auction.
MS Dhoni’s humility leaves Developed Bravis in Aweshan
In IPL 2025, the talented batsman was chosen by the Mid-season by Chennai Super Kings (CSK), and he immediately changed his head with his explosive performance. Brevis’s term with CSK was not only about runs, but it was also about experiences. He shared the dressing room with MS Dhoni, and made a deep impression on the young man.

The protias star was not only influenced by Dhoni’s cricket brain, but also had humility from the field. Brevis recalled how Dhoni kept his room open for all his CSK colleagues, allowing everyone to leave, chat or spend time simultaneously.
“His room door is always open open. If he is sleeping, it’s the only time when it is closed. I found myself a few times in his room, just sitting there, just sitting there, watching cricket, or talking about life.”
Developed Bravis about MS Dhoni:
“Humility, the way he is as a person – it was standing for me, the time for the players, people and his door is always open. The only time is closed when he is sleeping – just sitting there, sitting there, talking about his hobby, looking at cricket, looking at cricket, it is… this is … pic.twitter.com/lovrwmr2hx

Developed Bravis Chepack Experience is called ‘incredible’
Meanwhile, the South African young man played just six games, but burnt IPL 2025 with his fearless batting. He scored 225 runs at an impressive average of 37.50 and rated a banging strike of 180. Did the CSK team require a quick run for speed or stability for reconstruction, that was the best answer.
Brevis further stated that playing at the prestigious MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai was really special for him. After every big hit, the roar of Chennai crowd made him feel right at home, and in a few matches, he became one of the most favorite players for CSK fans.

He added, “I could not explain how I felt when I batted at the Chepack Stadium. It was incredible, my second entry especially. Obviously, I am playing for Chennai, so this is a special place for me.”
Developed Bravis is likely to maintain CSK plans
Earlier, MS Dhoni indicated that Chennai Super Kings (CSK) would maintain Brevis as the team is scheduled for buildup for the future. He appreciated the Proteus Star as a complete package.
Dhoni said during the IPL 2025: “This is a speed in the middle order (Brevis Off). He is also a very good fielder, he has power, and he can kill good balls for boundaries. And he brings good energy. He is happy with the way he is playing. She can be a property.”
In particular, Brevis had already played 2 Tests, 4 Odis and 10 T20i for South Africa and scored 84, 62 and 318 runs respectively. He has already broken a century in a T20I in Australia.
