Despite the tremendous lead of Pakistani players, Rohit Sharma, Abhishek Sharma remain untouched from number 1 in ICC rankings.

Former Indian captain Rohit Sharma and young batting sensation Abhishek Sharma remain the world number one batsmen in the white-ball format despite the sudden rise of Pakistan stars in the latest ICC player rankings updated on Wednesday, November 5.

Despite many of Pakistan’s players performing strongly in both the ICC T20I batting rankings and the ICC ODI batting rankings, Rohit and Abhishek continue to dominate thanks to their consistent performances in the white-ball formats.

Rohit Sharma and Abhishek Sharma dominate ICC rankings, Pakistani players get huge advantage

In the latest ICC T20I batting rankings, Indian opener Abhishek Sharma is still at the number one position with 925 rating points. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma, who recently achieved the number one position in the ICC ODI batting rankings on the basis of his excellent performance in the Australia series, has retained his position with 781 rating points.

Well, the Pakistan cricket team has won four out of five bilateral series in 2025, including a massive 2-1 win over South Africa on home soil. This success has helped many of their players rise up the ICC player rankings.

In the ICC T20I batting rankings, Babar Azam jumped nine places to 30th, young opener Saim Ayub climbed 10 places to 39th and Salman Aga moved up to 54th.

Meanwhile, in the latest ICC T20I batting rankings, West Indies captain Shai Hope moved up to 12th, Bangladesh’s Tanjid Hasan made an impressive jump to 17th, and Afghanistan’s Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran also moved up to 15th and 20th respectively.

Among bowlers, Indian spinner Varun Chakravarthy remains the number 1 T20I bowler. Australia’s Josh Hazlewood has also reached the top 10 after his brilliant performance against India in the current five-match T20 series.

Bangladesh’s Mujeeb Ur Rahman moved up 13 places to 14th, while Mahedi Hasan moved up six places to 17th after his impressive performances in recent matches. West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder has moved up nine places to joint 23rd and Roston Chase has moved up 13 places to 38th in the T20I rankings.

Players from Pakistan, Bangladesh, New Zealand and West Indies have advanced in the latest ICC rankings.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe’s veteran all-rounder Sikandar Raza made the biggest jump after some brilliant all-round performances, climbing 32 places to 33rd. South Africa’s Corbin Bosch also moved up 15 places to 38th after finishing as the top wicket-taker in the recent T20 series against Pakistan.

Pakistan’s Salman Mirza and Faheem Ashraf also entered the top 100 with their strong performances. In the ICC T20I all-rounder rankings, Sikandar Raza moved up to second, Roston Chase moved up to third, while Sam Ayub remained on top after consistent performances against South Africa.

On the other hand, New Zealand all-rounder Daryl Mitchell moved up to third place among batsmen in the ICC ODI batting rankings after his Player of the Series performance against England with 178 runs in three matches.

Another New Zealand player, Rachin Ravindra, also moved up to 14th position, while England fast bowler Jofra Archer moved up to third among ODI bowlers after taking three wickets in that ODI series.
