Deepti Sharma script record with 62 unbeaten in Vodi Chase against England

Deepti Sharma recorded her name in the record book by registering the highest score by an Indian woman at number 6 or less in one run chase.

Before Deepti, only some Indian batsmen reached the half -century in the lower middle order. Veda Krishnamurthy scored 52* in the World Cup match against the West Indies in 2016, while Richa Ghosh managed 52 against New Zealand in 2022.

With this win, women in India have taken a 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. It is worth noting that India won the recently concluded T20C series 3–2 against England.
