They will never unblock me – David Warner
In the image now going viral, Warner posted a screenshot of a profile with the username sunriseshyde, which appeared to block him. In his story he asked whether this is the official account of the franchise.
In another incident, Warner responded to a fan’s comment asking the franchise to unblock him. “@sunrisershyd, please unblock our captain warner,” one fan wrote in the comments. Warner responded to that comment, saying, “They will never unblock me.”

David Warner for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL
Warner originally joined SRH in 2014 and made an immediate impact. In his first year with the team, he finished as their highest run-scorer with 528 runs. In 2015, he was promoted to captain. While SRH did not make the playoffs, Warner finished with the Orange Cap. The following year, Warner took SRH to their greatest glory.
In 2016, David Warner scored 848 runs in one IPL season and was the captain of SRH to its only IPL trophy so far. In 2017, SRH once again reached the playoffs and Warner won the Orange Cap.
Warner missed the IPL 2018 as he was banned for his involvement in Australia’s ball-tampering scandal that year. When he returned in 2019, he was not the captain, but he still scored 692 runs in just 12 matches and became the only batsman to win the Orange Cap three times.
In 2020, he was given the armband back and once again took SRH to the playoffs. Once again, he was SRH’s leading run-scorer that year. Between 2014 and 2020, Warner was SRH’s leading run-scorer in every single IPL season he played, and he also crossed the 500-run mark in every season.
Overall, David Warner scored 4,014 runs in 95 matches for SRH at an average of 49.5 and a strike rate of 143. He also scored 40 fifties and 2 centuries for the franchise. He is also the only player to score 3,000 runs for the team.
David Warner out of SRH
There was a huge rift between the two in 2021. Both Warner and the team were going through a poor run of form, and Warner made some derogatory comments towards the team owners.
After the defeat, when Warner was asked why a certain player was selected he said that the owners were interfering in team selection. This did not please the owners as expected.
When the tournament returned after being suspended midway, Warner was stripped of the captaincy and eventually removed from the captaincy altogether. After that season, Warner parted ways with Sunrisers Hyderabad. In 2022, he returned to Delhi Capitals, his first IPL team, and for whom he had played before SRH.
