After the shocking defeat, Delhi Capitals shared a short clip on social media in which David Miller is seen crying.
David Miller, who had pulled Delhi Capitals to an almost impossible win against Gujarat Titans, fell to a last-ball defeat at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. This guilt affected him more than any ball as his mistake in the final over cost the team two crucial points.

Delhi Capitals needed just 2 runs off 2 balls to win the game and Miller (41 runs off 20 balls) was playing at full strength against Gujarat Titans. The match was in their hands, but a brain-fade moment from the South African hitter changed everything.

Miller decided to keep the strike instead of taking an easy single and letting Kuldeep Yadav face the ball. And that bold call quickly turned into a nightmare for him and his team. The left-handed batsman swung hard at the final ball but missed it completely and then Kuldeep tried to take a bye in desperation and was run out.

The Delhi franchise shared a clip on its social media handle which was painful to watch. In the video, Miller was seen sitting in the DC dressing room and could not control his emotions. He was completely shocked by what he did, because of which DC lost two important points.

At one point, Miller hid his face in his hands, trembling and crying like a child who could not control the pain. His eyes were red and he was repeatedly regretting and blaming himself for losing the match. He was mourning and deep sadness was clearly visible on his face.

Notably, this was DC’s first defeat in the ongoing IPL 2026 season, resulting in them slipping straight from second to fourth in the points table. GT, on the other hand, opened their account this season with a dramatic win in Delhi. DC’s next match in the tournament will be against CSK on April 11.
