Danish Kaneria trolls Pakistan after taking U-turn: The India vs Pakistan 2026 T20 World Cup game is finally on the cards after weeks of drama against the defending champions not taking the field, with the latter thwarting the federal government’s decision to boycott the game. After taking a U-turn, the Pakistan Cricket Board and the government have been trolled by former cricketers and pundits.
Among them, former Pakistan leg spinner Danish Kaneria has shared his views on the U-turn taken by the PCB and finally allowing its national cricket team to play against their arch-rivals on February 15 at the R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. Kaneria has criticized the government’s U-turn decision and questioned the integrity of the cricket board.
Danish Kaneria made fun of Pakistan Cricket Board
Speaking on his YouTube channel named ‘Danish Kaneria 261’, he said, “There is a limit to everything. I had earlier said that this drama will not stop and they will take a U-turn because they are experts in it. I have never seen anyone taking a better U-turn than them. The world is laughing at Pakistan, saying that one moment they say one thing and the next moment they do something completely different.”
“What Bangladesh did was a matter between them and the ICC. I don’t understand that Bangladesh has ever helped the PCB in any way. You were making such big statements about the boycott – so what happened now? What has suddenly changed that you are being forced to play?”

Danish Kaneria continued, “There was no point in suddenly announcing a boycott of the game. If you are taking a decision, at least stick to it. Making a sudden U-turn and creating a media uproar – saying we did this, we did that – only makes things worse. This matter has escalated to such an extent that it could become a big headache in the future. At the moment, I really find the whole situation ridiculous.”
Danish Kaneria further said, “Pakistan had also demanded a series with India etc. in the meeting with ICC. As the pressure increased, ICC raised the issue of possible ban, huge financial loss and not giving NOC to foreign players for PSL, the situation became serious for PCB and due to this Pakistan had to come on the backfoot.”
Kaneria concluded, “Give your stand and then do whatever you want to do. But then suddenly taking a U-turn, making a mess, being in the media all day, 24 hours. We did this, we did that.”
“What did we do? What did you do by speaking out? What did you do to the ICC? Did nothing. Did nothing. It doesn’t matter. But these cases have escalated like this. See, this will become a headache for the times to come.”
Will Pakistan occupy India?
India vs Pakistan has always been a blockbuster encounter for the International Cricket Council (ICC), with the two countries, along with the host team, garnering double the revenue from the encounter over the past few years.
Pakistan would like to make a comeback as they have not won in the last five matches with India across all formats and competitions. They are performing well in the current competition, winning two of their two games and looking to top the table.
