Delhi had lost six wickets for 12 runs in the powerplay itself. Hazlewood took four wickets, while Bhuvneshwar took three wickets and together they bowled out Delhi Capitals for just 75 runs. Later on Monday, RCB won the match in just 6.3 overs.
Well, Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar have been consistently dangerous, especially with the new ball this season. Bhuvneshwar currently leads the Purple Cap holders with 14 wickets in 8 matches, while Hazlewood has also made a strong impact with 8 wickets in 5 economical matches.
Kagiso Rabada and Jofra Archer dominate IPL 2026 with flamboyant spells for GT and RR
Meanwhile, other foreign fast bowlers like Kagiso Rabada and Joffra Archer are also dominating the ongoing IPL 2026. Rabada has been a key player for Gujarat Titans (GT) this season with his pace and consistent length. The South African fast bowler has taken 13 wickets in 8 matches so far in the tournament at an average of 22.62 and an economy rate of 9.48.
Rabada’s ability to hit good lengths and extract seam movement makes him extremely lethal for GT in the powerplay. On the other hand, England’s fast bowling sensation Jofra Archer made a strong comeback for Rajasthan Royals this season. He is troubling the batsmen with raw pace and bounce.
Archer has taken 13 wickets in 8 matches for RR so far in the ongoing IPL 2026 at an excellent average of 17.92 and an economy of 8.03. The Englishman is bowling at a speed of 151.6 km/hr this season and is lethal with the new ball. Archer’s pace and high release point make it very difficult for batsmen to handle him.

Dale Steyn reveals the ‘hard length’ secret behind Bhuvneshwar, Hazlewood, Rabada and Archer’s IPL 2026 dominance
After the DC vs RCB clash in Delhi, former South African fast bowler Dale Steyn has praised Archer, Rabada, Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar in the ongoing IPL 2026. He said the secret behind his dominance was hitting the right hard notes again and again.
The Proteas veteran pointed out that the batsmen are not scared but they feel the pressure because they know what is coming from these seamers, yet they struggle to deal with it. Steyn said that this “hard length” area has become a major weapon for these fast bowlers this season, as it creates doubt in the minds of the batsmen, and by the time they try to adjust, it is often too late.
Dale Steyn posted on goes…”
Seeing Buvi, Hazlewood, KG and Archer bowling out there, there is real fear in the batsmen, not because they are scared, but they know where these great players are going to bowl, but don’t practice that area enough to respond.
The fear of technical skills runs deep…– Dale Steyn (@DaleSteyn62) 28 April 2026
