“I actually saw him last night at dinner. I chatted to him and asked him, ‘What do you do, since you only play one format?’ And he said, ‘I live in London now.’ He has excellent facilities at Lord’s and Surrey and also goes to practice. There’s a trainer there he works with. I can’t remember. But he’s always well prepared.”
“When you look at him, he is in top form all the time; mentally, he is very strong. He has played the game for so long – 51 ODI centuries before this. So he knows his game very well, how he scores his runs.
“He comes, joins the team, and is fully committed. And then you see performances like this. That’s what true professionals do,” Dale Steyn told the host broadcaster after Kohli’s record-breaking century took India to 349/8.
