Ahead of the IPL 2026 match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Chennai Super Kings (CSK) received bitter news about South African batsman Dewald Brevis. Brewis will reportedly miss the match against the Rajat Patidar-led side at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday, April 5.
The Proteas batsman suffered a side strain before the start of the IPL 2026 season. He could not play the matches against Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS). MS Dhoni also could not play due to calf injury. Brewis is currently training at the practice nets, but the CSK management is wary of rushing his return.
