
In a deeply personal revelation, Chennai Super Kings‘ Latest Recruitment Rahul Chahar has confirmed his separation from his wife Ishani Joharare officially ending their marriage after more than three and a half years. The 26-year-old leg spinner shared the news through a detailed social media post on Friday, February 20, saying that the legal proceedings have ended and the matter is now resolved.
Chahar and Johar tied the knot in a private ceremony in Goa on March 9, 2022, marking the beginning of a journey that, as the cricketer revealed, became a transformative chapter in his life.

In his statement, Chahar candidly reflected on his initial decision to get married and the lessons learned thereafter. He admitted to entering marriage at a young age, before fully understanding himself and the life he wanted to build.
“I got married young, before I fully understood myself, my worth, or the life I really wanted to have. What followed was years of lessons I never expected, and the last fifteen months were spent hanging around courts, learning patience, resilience, and the power that truth can bring.” Chahar wrote in a social media post.
The spinner further revealed that the legal process has reached its conclusion. He said, “After due legal process, the matter has been resolved with a settlement that cost me significantly, bringing finality to this phase of my life. I close this chapter not with anger or regret, but with clarity.”
Chahar stressed that he is moving forward with self-awareness and a new sense of purpose. He described that relationship as one that awakened and changed him, even though it was not meant to last forever.
“Some relationships are not meant to last forever; they are meant to awaken us, teach us, and change us.” He shared that his goal now is to build a rooted life “Self-esteem, peace and better choices.”

Focus turns to IPL 2026 with Chennai Super Kings
