India National Cricket Team batsman and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain, Ruturaj Gikwad, has officially taken out of his deal with Yorkshire County Cricket Club.
The development was made officially by the Yorkshire County Cricket Club on Saturday, 19 July, and the club said that Ruturaj Gikwad has withdrawn from his contract due to ‘personal reasons’.

Ruturaj Gikwad signed an Yorkshire contract for the County Championship and One Day Cup
Gaikwad signed a contract to represent the five county championship matches as well as the team Yorkshire in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup.
He traveled with India’s team for the tour of England, but did not get any game. The county championship match will be his first term in competitive cricket from the beginning of April 2025, when he was dropped from the Indian Premier League 2025 due to a elbow injury and handed over the captaincy to MS Dhoni.

Yorkshire’s head coach Anthony McGrath said that it was a ‘disappointing’ development when it was a ‘disappointing’ development, but was expected to recover with Gaikwad.
He said, “Unfortunately Gaikwad is no longer coming for personal reasons. We are not going to him for Scarborough or for the rest of the season. So it’s disappointing.
