Canada Seal Spot ICC Mains T20 World Cup as 13th team in 2026

Canada has secured its place in the upcoming ICC men’s T20 World Cup 2026, which has become the 13th team to qualify for the 20-team event. The Canadian cricket team sealed their place on 22 June (local time) in Ontario with a major seven wicket win over Bahamas in the US regional qualifying finals.

Then he defeated Bahamas again, this time with 87 balls from seven wickets. With a balanced squad, Canada sealed the merit for the 2026 T20 World Cup and its goal would be aimed at pursuing its pace in the global program. His final match in the qualifier is against Bermuda on 22 June.

Canada thrash Bahamas to maintain an unbeaten line in US qualifiers

The Canadian bowlers dominated from the beginning after bowling first against Bahamas. Kalem Sana and Shivam Sharma took three wickets to dismiss Bahama for only 57 runs. Ans Patel and Saad bin Zafar stuck with two and one wicket respectively.

Bahamas struggled during his innings, in which only Javel Galimore (14*) and Jonathan Barry (10) reached double digits. Canada chased the target in just 5.3 overs.

Dilpreet Bajwa scored 36 off 14 balls, won a widespread victory and maintained his unbeaten record in the US qualifier.
