Nadeem mistimed the shot and the ball went high in the air and towards deep mid-wicket, where no fielder was stationed at that time. But Brian Bennett took his time to create absolute magic in the T20 World Cup 2026 clash.

How did Bennett make the best catch ever?

Bennett sprinted to his right, covered a lot of ground through deep midwicket, and then bowled full stretch. Even while in the air, he caught the ball with both hands and landed cleanly, ensuring that the ball remained securely in his grip. Bennett’s amazing efforts left everyone in disbelief.

The dismissal ended Oman’s innings in dramatic fashion, with Nadeem walking back to the dressing room after scoring 20 runs in 18 balls with the help of one four and a six. On Tuesday in Colombo, Zimbabwe bowled out Oman for just 103 runs.

This score is now the lowest ever score against Zimbabwe in a T20 World Cup match. Zimbabwe’s fast bowlers were relentless, especially with short-pitched balls. He took seven wickets using the short balls, completely troubling the Omani batsmen.

Nadeem was the top scorer for Oman. The incredible performance also set a new record as the most wickets taken by a team on short balls in a T20 World Cup innings, highlighting Zimbabwe’s deadly accuracy and skill on difficult surfaces. Perfect pitch: Blessing Muzarabani thrilled with bowling performance

Richard Ngarwa, Blessing Muzarabani and Brad Evans were the outstanding bowlers, taking three wickets each. During the innings break, Muzarabani, the most successful of his bowling partners against Oman, said he was thrilled with his performance in Colombo.

The wicket helped him bowl at the right length, which made his job easier. It was important to use the pitch conditions intelligently, as the bounce surprised even the Zimbabwean fast bowlers in a positive way. He felt excited watching the wicket play and praised Ngarawa’s early bowling effort.

Blessing Muzarabani said, “I was really happy today. I think the wicket really helped me with my length. I was really happy with that. The wicket was really helping us. So, we just have to keep it easy and just stick to our length, and I’m happy with that. I was really excited to see how the wicket is playing. Usually, the wicket is not really bouncy like that.”
