In one of the most dramatic and awkward moments, Jasprit Bumrah’s delivery to Mitchell Owen during the second T20I between India and Australia on Friday (October 31) turned into one of the strangest outings.
Drama unfolded on the fourth ball of the 18th over of Australia’s successful chase, when Jasprit Bumrah bowled a clever slow off-cutter to Mitchell Owen, who tried to create space and drive, but only managed to get a slight edge past Indian wicketkeeper Sanju Samson.

Both Bumrah and Samson immediately appealed with full confidence, but the umpire initially shook his head and dismissed it. However, as soon as Bumrah signaled for a review, umpire Wayne Knights suddenly changed his mind and raised his finger.

Owen, still unsure, opted for a review, but UltraEdge confirmed the spike, proving India’s top fast bowler right once again.
As Owen returned after scoring 14 runs in 10 balls, Bumrah celebrated with his trademark calmness, but the umpire’s bizarre U-turn went viral online.
