The much awaited news has finally arrived. Australian all-rounder Cameron Green is all set to bowl. According to the latest reports, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will face Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Thursday at 7.30 pm at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
On Wednesday evening, ESPNcricinfo reported that Cameron Green is expected to open the bowling in KKR’s game against LSG on Thursday.
Cameron Green has not bowled for Kolkata Knight Riders yet
So far, KKR has played 3 matches in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2026 (IPL). In 3 matches, the team has claimed 1 point as they lost two, and one match against Punjab Kings was abandoned due to heavy rain in Kolkata.
In the first two matches, which were against Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Cameron Green was on the field in those matches, but did not come to bowl.
After the Mumbai Indians MI match, KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane said that only Cricket Australia knew when Green would be able to bowl. Later, it was reported that the Australian all-rounder has not received the green signal from Cricket Australia before bowling for Kolkata Knight Riders.
