Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have suffered a major blow midway through IPL 2026 as their young sensation Ayush Mhatre has been ruled out of the tournament. CSK is already going through a difficult phase and now Ayush Mhatre’s injury has increased their problems.
Ayush Mhatre’s IPL 2026 season ends with hamstring injury
Ayush suffered a left hamstring injury during CSK’s previous IPL 2026 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 18. His injury will now take 6 to 12 weeks to heal, which means the India Under-19 star’s IPL campaign is now officially over.

CSK officially confirmed through an announcement on their social media handles that Mhatre’s IPL 2026 campaign is over. He posted on Twitter: “Ayush Mhatre has been ruled out of the remainder of IPL 2026 due to a left hamstring injury sustained while batting during the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 18. Ayush’s injury will require a rehabilitation period of 6-12 weeks. We wish Ayush a speedy recovery.”
