Best Playing 11 of RCB against CSK
1. Faf du Plessis (C)
Faf will open the batting. He finished as the second-highest run-scorer last season with 790 runs, but his team won only seven games. He will have a tough task ahead of him to make the team proud.
2.Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli will start the innings with Faf. He has been out of cricket for the last two months and will directly join the team for the IPL. Kohli had scored 639 runs in the last season. He is the highest run scorer in IPL.
3.Rajat Patidar
Patidar will slot in at three. He has had a tough time in the Test series against England where he scored just 63 runs in three Test matches. He will have a point to prove on his return.
4.Glenn Maxwell
Maxwell will remain in fourth place. He has proved his worth by scoring more than 1000 runs for RCB in the last two seasons. He is having a 500-plus season in 2021 which is his best year in the IPL. He had scored 400 runs in the last season. He is approaching 3000 IPL runs.
5. Cameron Green
Cameron Green will play at number five.
6.Dinesh Karthik (WK)
DK will slot in at six as the specialist wicketkeeper-batsman. He has scored over 600 runs for RCB at a strike rate of 152.37 in his career. He made his international return in 2022 courtesy of his high strike rate of 2022. There are reports that he might retire at the end of this season.
7.Suyash Prabhudessai
Prabhudesai can come at five. He is a brilliant fielder as he demonstrated his skills last season and can tonk the ball lower down the order. He needs to make the most of his opportunities.
8. Karn Sharma
Sharma is the specialist leggie for RCB. He picked 10 wickets for the franchise last season. He has played for a host of teams including MI, CSK, SRH, and now RCB. He has won titles with SRH, MI and CSK as well.
9. Reece Topley
Topley will be the third overseas seamer in the playing 11. He was unfortunately ruled out last season with a finger injury. He swings the ball up early which makes him a wicket-taking option.
10. Mohammed Siraj
Siraj will be one of two specialist seamers for RCB. In Chinnaswamy, it is the fast bowlers who will have more impact on the opposition than the spinners, if the fast bowlers bowl accurately then they will not be easy to hit. The fast bowler has taken 68 wickets for RCB.
11. Aakash Deep
Akash Deep might be the second Indian pacer in this four-man pace attack. He played last season for the franchise and picked up six wickets so far for the franchise.
