Former cricketer Priyank Panchal has shared his views on the Indian squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2025, which is scheduled to begin on 9 September. Panchal said that the team should choose openers and finisars, while middle-order batsmen should accommodate their positions based on match situations.
The team last depicted in the T20I series in February 2025, defeating England 4–1 on domestic soil. After six months of break from the format, they are preparing to compete in the upcoming Asia Cup. The selection committee led by Ajit Agkar can change the batting lineup after IPL 2025. Players like Test Captain Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharan, Yashsvi Jiswal, Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul will be in controversy for selection for eight-team tournaments.

India is set to compete with Pakistan, UAE and Oman in Group A of 2025 Asia Cups. He will play group matches at Dubai International Cricket Stadium and Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
Men in Blue will start their campaign with a sport against the UAE on 10 September, followed by a high-profile clash with Pakistan on 14 September. He will conclude the group stage against Oman on 19 September.

The 2025 Asia Cup will be played in the T20 format, which will have a look at the 2026 T20 World Cup to be held in India and Sri Lanka. It focuses on the smallest format as teams for the global event.
India won the 2023 edition, which was played as a 50 -over tournament ahead of the ODI World Cup. India defeated Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in the final.
