Following the controversy surrounding Karnataka MLAs demanding VIP tickets for matches at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, the Bengaluru stadium may lose the right to host the IPL 2026 final.
Fans are angry with the unjust demands from MLAs and MPs in the state of Karnataka, which has caused huge trouble within the KSCA. Some MLAs have also demanded four to five tickets, as they have mentioned that they are VIPs and cannot stand in such a long queue.
However, this type of operation often increases the price of tickets, and fans have criticized these types of policies, labeling it as an abuse of power and labeling it as ‘VIP culture’.

Bengaluru’s Chinnaswamy may lose IPL 2026 hosting rights due to MLA ticket controversy
For matches at its home ground in Chinnaswamy, KSCA did not provide adequate passes to the state MLAs, and the government was forced to intervene to secure free tickets or passes from KSCA.
There have been discussions between KSCA and the government; However, no conclusion was reached that satisfied the MLA. According to a report by ANI journalist, if this glitch is not resolved by the time IPL 2026 final tickets go live, Bengaluru may lose the hosting rights for the IPL 2026 final.
