Ben Stokes dropped himself out of the 5th Test
Ben Stokes was a stellar form with the bat and ball in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, as he took England a 2–1 lead in the series. The captaincy passed the Oli Pope from Stokes for a final test, as the star all -rounder was dropped due to an injury.
The series was a masterclass performance from the 34 -year -old English skipper, which scored a test hundred after a gap of about 2 years and took 17 wickets in the series, as well as ending the third highest in the series.
The intensity of his performance in the Manchester Test had a heavy toll on his body, as he was already suffering from another stress for his already injured Hamstring, who had kept him out of the game for several months, and now injured his shoulder and at the same time he distributed longer in the series.

Durham all-rounder has played only 5 games for Northern Supervisors in all hundred sessions. He has scored only 14 runs and took 5 wickets in the 100-ball tournament, while he last painted back in the IPL in 2024.
Stokes, during their rehabilitation process, will see the northern supervisors as their patron. The side is captained by English White-Ball captain Harry Brook and trained by former all-rounder Andrew Flintoff.
