Ben Stokes offered for handshakes rejected by India

India and England gave a tough fight in the Manchester Test match, but the visitors managed to secure a draw with the help of a remarkable batting performance in the third innings.

Meanwhile, the biggest talkting point, which came out of the Manchester Test, was ‘Handshek Ro’ which took place during the last session of 5 days.

As the last hour game was about to begin, Ben Stokes created peace with the fact that a draw in the match was possible, and he offered a handshahek to Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar.

However, Ravindra Jadeja, who was at 89*, and Washington Beautiful, who was at 80*, denied a handshake and wanted to complete his centuries.

It left Stokes Furious, who was engaged in a warm spots with Jadeja and Sundar, but India’s all -rounders batted for five more overs to complete their tons.

The knock that both of them played was very good – Ben Stokes

At the post -match press conference, Ben Stokes appreciated Washington Sundar and Ravindra Jadeja for his batting talent, but said that chasing for centuries did not matter much because he had already saved the game for India. He explained in detail:

“The knock that both of them had been very good, was very good. India found the game with us a little, with a little opening of the game.

“This is what you have done for your team. You know, 10 more runs or whatever it was not going to change the fact that you have managed to get your team out of a lot, very, very difficult situation and have saved your team from a series defeat before the previous game.”

I was not risking any of my frontline bowlers – Ben Stokes

Ben Stokes justified his handshake offer and aggression, stating that he did not want to make his fast bowler in the match and did not want to make a small change for the conclusion of the series. he explained:

“We were ready to take it as far as we could do and throw everything that we had done at the point, but it reached the point where only one result was left on the table and I was not going to risk any of my frontline bowlers in such a situation, especially when we had a quick change,” he said.

“The only other person who really has a bowling work in him is Harry Brook. But I had to say to him, please do not fool anything. We are out in the field for 200-and-we have got a quick change, we have got a quick change, so just what needs to be done. I said that nothing has to be done: Not a side was not pulling a side.”
