India National Cricket Team head coach Gautam Gambhir has suggested that Test cricket should allow replacement of injury, especially in serious cases, but England captain Ben Stokes called the demand “absolutely ridiculous” after the end of the Manchester Test on 27 July.
Gautam Gambhir’s demand came when star Indian wicketkeeper-son Rishabh Pant was forced to get hurt on 1 of the fourth Test in Manchester. Despite a confirmed fracture in his right leg, Pants bravely returned to bat the next day and scored a hero against England.
