RCA’s formal appeal and comprehensive security promise
The Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) has written directly to the BCCI, IPL Governing Council and RR, urging them to keep Jaipur as the franchise’s home base for the next season.
As reported by Cricbuzz, RCA has promised that “all necessary safety measures – without any exceptions – will be implemented ahead of the IPL, strictly in accordance with BCCI guidelines, applicable government regulations and best international practices.”
In its letter to the BCCI and top IPL officials, the government-appointed ad-hoc committee of RCA led by DD Kumawat wrote, “RCA is fully committed to working constructively with Rajasthan Royals, BCCI and all stakeholders to resolve any concerns promptly and professionally in the larger interest of the game.”
Ending the uncertainty: A direct response to the royals’ concerns
The Royals reportedly raised concerns about the infrastructure at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. And now RCA has responded by saying that they were neither informed about nor associated with the third-party assessment allegedly conducted by the franchise.
RCA also strongly defended the condition of the stadium, saying that the venue is “structurally sound and operationally safe” to host IPL matches. The association pointed out that the stadium has successfully hosted IPL matches as well as numerous domestic and international fixtures for almost two decades and continues to do so without any problems.

He later said, “Recently, Vijay Hazare Trophy matches were held at the venue with the presence of a large number of spectators and without any safety or security incident, confirming its readiness to host high-profile events.”
Jaipur: The undisputed home of Rajasthan Royals
RCA also reminded BCCI of Jaipur’s deep relationship with Rajasthan Royals. The city has always been home to the franchise and local fans have enthusiastically supported the team over the years. Hence, he formally requested that RR’s home matches for IPL 2026 be hosted in Jaipur.
The latter said, “In view of the above, we respectfully request the BCCI to allocate the home matches of Rajasthan Royals to Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur for the upcoming IPL season. RCA assures its full cooperation and active engagement to ensure the smooth, safe and successful conduct of IPL 2026 in Jaipur.”
