Team all -rounder Exer Patel injured his head while trying to catch the final group against Oman in the Asia Cup 2025. However, fielding coach T Dileep gave an update after India’s victory, confirming that the all-rounder is fine and will be available for the upcoming matches in the tournament.
The team led by Suryakumar Yadav maintained its innocent record in the ongoing Asia Cup. India scored 21 runs to Oman at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Friday, 19 September. The men’s group in Blue ended at the top of the A table and upgraded on the super for stage without a single necklace.

India posted 188/8 to bat first. Sanju Samson was the top scorer for India, of which 56 were off 45 balls, including three fours and three sixes. Exer Patel, who came to bat for the first time in the tournament, scored 26 runs in 13 delivery including three borders and one six.

If Axar Patel is unavailable, India may be forced to accommodate their bowling setup for the Pakistan match. Blue men may have to move away from the three-spinner scheme used in Dubai.
Varun Chakraborty and Kuldeep Yadav Squad have other primary spinners. Chakraborty was rested for the match against Oman to allow an additional fast bowler. Washington Sundar is one of the five standby players for India.

When asked about India’s next match against Pakistan, Dileep said that the team delivers every game with the same mindset. He said that blue people are ready and are ready to take their archives.

India will launch its Super 4 campaign in the Asia Cup with a match against Pakistan at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, 21 September. In Blue, men will also face Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in Super Four Stage. He will play all his super 4 games in Dubai.
