Sai Sudarshan missed, Mukesh Kumar attacked
Sai Sudarshan made a brilliant start to the innings and looked in good shape by hitting a four against Mukesh Kumar in the first over. Kumar, who was in good form, did not lose his confidence and maintained the line on the wicket line.
Sudarshan was looking to utilize the power play and try to find the gap between the fielders on the off side. Since the ball was on the line of the stumps, with a hint of swing, it took the batsman by surprise. Sudarshan missed, Kumar hit – the bowler got the benefit of keeping the line tight. Gujarat Titans lost the wicket of Sai Sudarshan at the score of 19 in 2.1 overs.
Jos Buttler is making waves for Gujarat Titans at the home ground of Delhi Capitals.
After Sudarshan’s departure, England international Jos Buttler took the responsibility of rotating the strike rate by making use of fielding restrictions in the powerplay. GT scored 68 runs for one wicket in 6 overs.
At that time, Buttler was on 47 off 22, and Gujarat Titans captain, Shubman Gill, was batting on 7 off 7. So far, the English keeper-batsman has hit three fours and five sixes, and Gill has got one 4 so far.
Indian Premier League 2026 Ahead of the 2026 T20 World Cup, Jos Buttler was among the star batsmen struggling for runs. The proven batsman’s poor form in the white-ball format could raise concerns for Gujarat Titans. But now, as the team’s number three batsman, the experienced batsman is swinging the bat like a well-oiled machine in Delhi.
