B*****d! Ashish Nehra abuses Shubman Gill madly after mistake in DC vs GT IPL 2026 clash

This match surrounded by controversies and Ashish Nehra’s uncontrolled outburst has also given rise to a new dispute between Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill and the head coach.

Gujarat Titans won the match against Delhi Capitals, which was a high-scoring gem for the fans of both the teams. However, at several exciting turns of the game, the most animated character on the field lost control.

No, not any player on the field, but Gujarat Titans head coach Ashish Nehra was the liveliest character as he stood on the sidelines. He was constantly running plays out of bounds and at times his exuberant personality led to some unexpected moves.

Ashish Nehra’s X-rated statement in DC vs GT match creates new controversy

Gujarat Titans are often said to be blessed to have a coach like Ashish Nehra. The former Indian fast bowler is always known for making quick strategies with his players on the field which can change the momentum of the game at any time.

Nehra was present during the entire bowling innings of Gujarat Titans during their win against Delhi Capitals. He looked satisfied at times when Rashid and Rabada bowled economical overs, and even disappointed when runs kept leaking from the other end.

During the 16th over of the game, young Indian fast bowler Ashok Sharma bowled a brilliant yorker to Tristan Stubbs when the Capitals needed 63 runs from just 28 balls. The ball was carefully taken out by Stubbs and it hit the bowler’s fist and went towards Captain Gill.

Gill, who was troubled by KL Rahul’s continued presence at the other end, attempted to throw at the stumps as players looked to cross for quick singles. However, the ball hit the stumps and went near the boundary.

During the entire incident, a frustrated Ashish Nehra’s reactions were captured on camera, where he was seen making derogatory remarks about the team’s poor effort. However, such moments of adrenaline rush are common during such intense competitions.

After the overthrow, Gujarat Titans tightened their fielding. Mohammed Siraj returned with the ball and aimed for the wideline and bowled the ball far away from the stumps. However, while the line was away, either the batsman managed to score from them, or the umpire ruled it out as a wide ball.

Despite inconsistent tactics, he set up and took the wicket of KL Rahul, who slashed the ball so wide and dismissed the ball. However, David Miller once again raised DC’s hopes and the Titans fast bowlers had no answer to his carnage.

Prasidh Krishna, a consistent wicket-taker for GT, bowled the final over and found the courage to bowl a precise slow bouncer to Miller when Capitals needed just 2 runs off the last ball and Miller missed the hit.

David Miller’s controversial singles refusal has led to claims of match-fixing

David Miller certainly deserves enough credit for the fact that he played the most important role in the death overs for Delhi Capitals in the match against his former franchise Gujarat Titans. Without Miller’s innings, Delhi would have lost the match long ago.

After hitting several huge sixes in the game, Miller hit Krishna for a six on the fourth ball of the 20th over, bringing the score to 2 runs in 2 balls. However, despite being experienced, the South African legend did not score a single run on the final delivery.

Miller sent Kuldeep back from half the pitch as he looked to finish off the game for the Capitals. However, the call looked to be a huge mistake as he missed the last ball and Jos Buttler was right on the money when Kuldeep attempted to take a run. Miller’s refusal to take a comfortable single would have ruined DC’s chances of losing the match, fueled by speculation of alleged match-fixing.
