BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla has confirmed that the Indian team’s jersey sponsor would be finalized immediately after Dream 11, former sponsors ended their deal due to the new online gaming act.

BCCI Vice President, Rejeev Shukla confirmed that the Indian team’s jersey sponsors will be finalized in only two weeks and therefore expected to appear by the first week of October by 28 September.

BCCI has considered many new and fresh tenders, except for companies that have Real-money gaming, betting, cryptocurrency, or drug products by bidding process.

Speaking at an event in Singapore, Shukla said, “The tender process has been released and there are many bids. We will tell you after finalizing. I think it will be finalized in 15-20 days.”

Shukla, when asked about any possible name for the deal, said, “No, there is no name yet. There are many bidders and we will announce once.”

After speaking on Jersey sponsorship, he spoke about the increase in goods and service tax on Indian Premier League tickets next time. Like casino and race clubs, tax has been increased by 40%.

“BCCI pays income tax like a corporate company. It pays GST. We have no discounts.”

“We pay thousands of crores of taxes. The state associations also pay taxes. And we never take a single rupee grant from the government,” Shukla said.
