Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) is scheduled for change in leadership, with former India all-rounder and 1983 World Cup winner Roger Binny To end his term as President. BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla is expected to step into the interim president of the Cricket Board after Bini’s tenure.
Roger Binny played the role of the President of BCCI in October 2022, which continued the tendency of former cricketers leading the board. He made Sourav Ganguly a success, who completed his three -year term. Binny was the only nominated in that election and became the 36th President of the Control Board for Cricket in India.

Binny played 27 Tests and 72 Odis in his cricket career. He was part of the 1983 World Cup and the 1985 World Championship of Cricket winning campaigns, where he was going to take major wickets in both tournaments.

Rajiv Shukla hoped to step into interim BCCI as the chairman
Rajeev Shukla is expected to step into the interim president of BCCI after Roger Binny’s departure. Earlier, J Shah had vacated his post as BCCI Secretary after being appointed as the President of ICC, in which Devjit Saikia was temporarily filled before confirming.
Shukla brings decades of experience in cricket administration. He first served as Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association and presided over the IPL from 2011 to 2018. Shukla was elected unopposed as the BCCI Vice President in 2020 and was re -elected in 2022.
A 65 -year -old will work in an interim capacity, and a permanent president will be appointed at the BCCI’s annual general meeting. Other senior administrators or nominees of state associations may also be considered.
Shukla will become eligible to contest elections for a full -time post after the age of 66 in September. If chosen, he will become the 37th BCCI President.
