The BCCI APEX Committee has allegedly held a meeting to find new sponsors before the ODI World Cup 2027, while they are also claimed to be the current President Roger Binny in the upcoming BCCI elections, as claimed after Rajiv Shukla at the Apex Council meeting on August 28.
Next to the Asia Cup 2025, the Indian Cricket Board is facing several criticisms as they are undergoing several changes, including the role of the President as well as a new sponsor in front of the major tournaments.

In his absence, experienced officer Rajiv Shukla has been appointed as the interim president of BCCI, which is the place of Roger Binny until the BCCI elections are held.
On August 28, a meeting of the apex committee was held, and the meeting was chaired by the Acting Chairman, Rajiv Shukla in the absence of Binny. The Abhishek Tripathi report has claimed that the Indian Board has discussed the Dream 11 sponsorship deal.

Fantasy Sports Company, Dream 11, is no longer the title sponsor of the Indian cricket team, and the board has initiated the process to find a replacement; However, according to Abhishek Tripathi’s claims, it cannot be finalized until next month of the Asia Cup.
According to PTI reports, Dream 11 will not continue as the title sponsors of the Indian cricket team, which is starting with the major event, ACC Men Asia Cup 2025, has banned real money gaming under the recently passed ‘promotion and regulation of online gaming act.
“We can’t continue with them and so are trying to find some options, and this process is now going on. The empty situation of the sponsor is something we are trying to fill, and nothing has been completed so far. Once something happens, we will tell you with a media advisor,” Devjit Saikia, BCCI Secretary said.
Timely board elections; No adjournment until the new law is announced
The Indian Sports Ministry is keen on the board elections according to the National Sports Regime Act in September, but the cricket body has been advised to conduct them under the supervision of the recommendations of the Lodha Committee approved by the Supreme Court if the new law rules are not informed until that time.
However, this confirmation is made by sources of Dainik Jagran Reporter Abhishek Tripathi: board elections will be held soon, and it cannot be forbidden any further. Elections cannot be postponed until the new government bill is passed.
