The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) reacted to not returning to the ongoing Dilip Trophy matches at the Center for Excellence in Bangalore. In particular, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia confirmed that the scheduled summit Clash would be broadcast live between 11 and 15 September.
India’s team is currently on a break after the five -match Test series against England, which ended on August 4. The fans were eager to kick with the Dalip Trophy for the domestic season. However, the lack of live coverage disappointed and disappointed fans despite BCCI having abundant resources.
Dilip Trophy opens home season with quarter finals
The current domestic season began with the Dalip Trophy, including two quarter -finals – North Zone vs East Zone and Central Zone vs. North East Zone.

BCCI has implemented strict rules on the participation of contracted players when they are not on national duty. The board was allegedly unhappy with the selectors of the south region to leave prominent players like KL Rahul and Mohammad Siraj from the squad.

Devjit Saikia clarified that the BCCI has a broadcast system that has covered 100 days of domestic cricket and assured that the Dalip Trophy final will be broadcast live. He said that most Indian players participate in these matches and get wide coverage under the current broadcast deal.
“There will be a live telecast of the finals of the Dalip Trophy. We have an agreement with our broadcaster to ensure the live telecast of 100 days of domestic cricket, which means that all our domestic tournaments have been covered live.”
The Times of India states, “BCCI gives great importance to domestic cricket, which is why you will see that almost all India players are in action in these matches.”

The Duleep Trophy has returned to its traditional zonal format this season, moving away from India A, B, C and D structure, which has been used last year.
The tournament has already seen a standout performance, such as the five-wicket race of Aukib Nabi, Manishi’s six-for-after and centuries in Ankit Kumar, Yash Dhul and Ayush Badoni North Zone vs. East Zone struggle.
