BCCI breaks silence when refuses to join hands with Pakistan
A senior BCCI official said that after the match, the players have no rules to join hands with the opposition. The official said that the Indian team did not expand the etiquette in the backdrop of the Pahalgam terror attack earlier this year.
A senior BCCI official told PTI, “If you read the rule book, there is no specification to join hands with the opposition. It is a goodwill gesture and a kind of conference, not the law, which is followed globally in the sports spectrum,” a senior official of the BCCI told PTI.
“If there is no law, the Indian cricket team is not obliged to join hands with an opposition, with which there is a history of a stressful relationship,” the official said.
