The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the squad for the upcoming Men’s Under-19 Asia Cup in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Chennai Super Kings (CSK) opener Ayush Mhatre has been made the captain of the team, while Rajasthan Royals (RR) cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi has also been included.

The U19 Asia Cup will take place in the United Arab Emirates from December 12 to 21, with eight teams competing in the ODI format. The event will feature the five full member Asian nations, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan as well as three teams that have qualified for the ACC Men’s U19 Premier Cup.

On Friday, 28 November, the BCCI announced that the Junior Cricket Committee has finalized India’s squad for the Under-19 Asia Cup. Ayush Mhatre will lead the team, while Vihaan Malhotra will be the vice-captain.

India have been placed in Group A for the 2025 U19 Asia Cup, where they will face Pakistan along with two teams that joined through the qualifiers. Group B consists of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and one other qualifier.

India will play its first group-stage match on December 12, followed by the much-awaited clash with Pakistan on December 14. The final group match will be against Qualifier 3.

The semi-finals are scheduled for 19 December, while the final will be played on 21 December. All matches will be held at the ICC Academy and The Sevens venues.
