BCCI has revealed the international schedule for the home series of the Indian team. It also includes all three formats of the game, Test, ODI and T20I. These games will mark India’s preparations for the ICC ODI World Cup 2027.
India single-handedly dominates all three formats of the game. Although their performances in the red ball format have dipped in recent times after some home series defeats, their dominance in the white ball format has been tremendous.
Furthermore, the Indians have been dominant in ICC tournaments as they have featured consistently in the last three international tournaments. India’s last knockout defeat in an ICC tournament came in the 2023 ICC World Cup Final. Since then, they have managed to win the T20 World Cup trophy twice in 2024 and 2026, while winning the Champions Trophy once in 2025.
BCCI’s domestic season schedule for 2026-27 revealed
BCCI has announced the schedule for the domestic season of 2026-27. They will begin their home campaign against the West Indies in September 2026, which will consist of a pack of three ODIs and five T20Is.

They will then host neighboring country, Sri Lanka for another white-ball series in December 2026. This will mark the end of the annual domestic season for the Indians. A total of three ODI and three T20 matches will be played.

The Indian men’s national team will host Zimbabwe for another three-match ODI series, which will help the Indian team prepare for the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup in 2027.

BCCI announces the schedule of Border-Gavaskar Trophy
India tour Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2024-25. The Indian team lost the series to the Australian team by a margin of 3-1. This was the first time that India lost the series after winning it for the last 5 years.
After this India was out of the race for the WTC final. India will have to revive their chances for the WTC Final 2027, and India’s tour of Australia will play a crucial role in their path to the ICC tournament.
