Cricket Control Board in India (BCCI) Australia A as well as the rest of India (ROI) has unveiled the India A Squad for the three-match one-day series for the upcoming Iranian Cup against the squad. The announcement was made by the Senior Male Selection Committee on Tuesday.
Shreyas Iyer to lead India in a one -day series against Australia
India A will be captained Shreyas IyerWho returns to lead the side to Kanpur, where matches will be staged from 30 September. Meanwhile, the Iranian Cup struggle between the rest of India and the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 champions Vidarbha will be held in Nagpur from 1 October.

Iyer, who underwent back surgery in the UK last year, has been largely cured, but continues to face recurring cramps and rigor during long -lasting matches. Their absence from the Iranian Cup indicates a concentrated approach towards the management of fitness ahead of the major white ball assignment.

The selectors have named different squads for the first match and the following two matches. While Iyer will lead in all three fixtures, Tilak Verma has been appointed as vice-captains for the second and third encounters. The squad has a mixture of emerging stars and experienced artists, reflecting the BCCI strategy of nourishing talent for future national call-ups.

The squad consists of an exciting mixture of domestic stallwarts and rising stars, with wicketkeeping responsibilities shared by Aryan Juyal and Ishaan Kishan.
