On Saturday, August 23, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officially announced the squad of the Bangladesh Women’s National Cricket Team for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.

Nigar Sultana Joti is named as the captain of the Bangladesh Women’s National Cricket Team, and will lead the 15 -member squad in his second outing in the World Cup.

This will be the second outing of the Bangladesh women’s team in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup history after its first appearance in 2022, and they will be eager to give a good performance.

Talking about the remarkable inclusion, wicket-keeper-keeper-wife Rubya Haider has received a young woman ODI call-up, while the youth have chosen Nishitita Akara Nishi and Sumaiya Akhile.

BCB Women’s Wing chief selector, Sjeed Ahmed Mansoor, while talking about Nishita Akhar Nishi, said that she shows a lot of maturity while bowling, and said that Sumaiya actor gives the team a great all-round option.

Sajad Ahmed Mansoor, the chief selector of the BCB Women’s Wing, said, “Nishita is still young, but she bowls with great maturity.”

“Sumaiya has been knocking the door for some time. She brings the ability to capture the crease and accelerate when needed. With her skill set and fielding standards, she gives us a all -round option in the top order.”
