Bangladesh stars Asia Cup struggles badly in the new fitness test before 2025, only Nahid Rana Shine

The players of the Bangladesh National Cricket Team were placed on Sunday, August 10 at the National Stadium in the National Stadium through a new set of Dheeraj Drill, and young Pesar Nahid Rana emerged as the top artist.

A member of the Bangladesh Cricket Team Management was told by Cricbuz, “Rana was just outstanding. Some other people also did well, but at the same time, there were some cricketers who could not fulfill our expectations.”

Those who struggled during the fitness test were senior bowlers Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed, Tanveer Islam and Shamim Patoveri, who took about eight minutes to complete the 1600 meter race. The players were divided into two batches for testing.

In the first group, Mehidi Hasan Miraj finished second after completing his run in 6 minutes and 1 second, while Mushfiqur Rahim, who is only active in Test cricket, finished third in 6 minutes and 10 seconds.

In the second batch, which included 15 players, Tanjim Hasan Saqib completed his 1600 meters in 5 minutes and 53 seconds. After Tanjim, Martyr Hussain Dipu (6 minutes) and Parvez Hussain Emone (6 minutes and 13 seconds).

On the other hand, six players of the 25-man initial squad did not participate in the Sunday test. Those who missed are the T20I Captain Litton Kumar Das and Tohid Hridoy, while Nurul Hasan Sohan, Saif Hasan, Afif Hussain, and Mahidul Islam Ankon were unavailable due to the Bangladesh ‘commitments with the team on a tour in Australia.

The fitness camp will continue before a skill training camp is shifted to Sylhet on August 20.

Bangladesh is ready for a top end T20 series 2025

Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has already announced a squad for Bangladesh which will compete in the top end T20 series 2025 in Darwin, Australia.

The tournament will give Bangladesh a chance to play in foreign conditions, get valuable match practice and help the selectors assess the backup options for the senior team.
