The Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced its 25 -member initial squad for the upcoming Asia Cup and a three -match T20I series against the Netherlands scheduled earlier this month.
The BCB has named Litton Das as The Skipper at the upcoming Continental Championship, as the team looks at the preparation of the multi-team event.
He has also named some fresh young talents in the squad for selection, while ODI side all-rounder and newly declared skipper Mehidi Hasan Miraj is also nominated despite the weak performance in the smallest format of the game in the 25-member squad.

Bangladesh announced a 25-member team to prepare for Asia Cup 2025
The Bangladesh Cricket Board has made some great calls for the 25-member squad, including Nurul Hasan, who was ignored despite some promising performance in domestic sports. Along with Nurul, Mossadek Hussain, who also influenced domesticly, was not yet chosen by the selectors.
The BCB said in a statement, “Available players will report for a fitness camp on August 6 at SBNCS, Mirpur. Skill practice will start from August 15 at SBNCS, before the camp is left on August 20.”
After the camp, the Dutch cricket side is expected to come on 26 August, as they will play in three T20s and 1 and 3 September on 30 August.
Bangladesh to remember a player preparation camp
The 25-Bangladesh players selected in the 25-member squad are ready to remember most days in the preparation camp, as they are also part of the A team, which travels to Australia for a 5-match T20 series and a four-day match against South Australia.
Nurul, along with five other players of the squad, will be absent for most of the camps, as they will face Australia in Darwin at the end of this month and are ready to leave the country on 7 August.
Nurul Hasan, Mahidul Islam, Saif Hasan, Hasan Mahmood, and Num Sheikh, which are also in the initial squad, will travel to Australia from 9 August to be part of the series.
