The BCB Selection Committee has chosen a 16-member squad for the upcoming Asia Cup, and the same team will close the horns with the Netherlands in the three-match T20I series.

The T20I matches between Flying Dutchmen and Tigers are to be hosted by Silhet International Cricket Stadium on 30 August, 1 September and 3.
After the series, the team will focus on the Asia Cup 2025, where they are placed in Group B with Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Hong Kong.
Bangladesh squad for the Marki tournament is with the expected lines, the only surprise with the return of wicketkeeper-son Nurul Hasan Sohan.
He has played 46 T20I matches for tigers, but his last outing came in Australia during the ICC Mains T20 World Cup 2022.
Saif Hasan has also made it in the squad, and for the Continental tournament, the BCB selection committee has named Soumya Sarkar, Mehidi Hasan Miraj, Tanveer Islam and Hasan Mahmood as Standbis.

Bangladesh has never won the Asia Cup
Tigers have been very competitive in the Asia Cup tournament over the years, but have failed to get their hands on the trophy.
He made his debut in the Asia Cup in 1986, achieved two defeats in the group stage and finished 3 of 3 teams. Then, they continuously finished at the bottom of their group, there was a minimum or no victory from 1988 to 2000.
He won his first game in the Asia Cup in 2004 and registered his second win in 2008. His best performance came in 2012, 2016 and 2018, when he reached the finals.
However, he lost against Pakistan in the 2012 final and against India in the 2016 finals. In the 2018 version of the Asia Cup, he once again faced defeat in the hands of men in Blue in the clash of Shikhar.
Talking about his most recent performances, he did not win a game in the 2022 Asia Cup and just two matches in the 2023 Asia Cup.
