Bangladesh is celebrating the ODI series win against Pakistan. In the 3-match ODI series, the Tiger Brigade won 2–1, defeating the Pakistan cricket team, who were favorites to win the bilateral competition.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has informed through a social media post that the Prime Minister has congratulated the teams for their huge success. The Mehdi Hasan Miraj-led side sealed the series by winning the third and deciding match by 11 runs at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Sunday (March 15).
“In an official statement, the Prime Minister said: ‘Our brave young cricketers have shown that success is possible with dedication and collective effort,’ the cricket governing board informed its followers on social media platforms.

The list further reads, “The impressive performance of the national cricket team has made the entire nation proud. I hope that this victorious journey of our young generation will continue in the days to come.”
In response, BCB showed its respect to Prime Minister Tariq Rehman for encouraging the cricket team.
The cricket board responded to the PM, “The BCB takes this opportunity to express its thanks and gratitude to the Honorable Prime Minister for his continued support and encouragement for Bangladesh cricket.”

The host team scored 290 runs for 5 wickets in the first innings and won the third match by 11 runs. Tanzid Hasan Tamim was the star performer of the match, scoring 107 runs in the process. With the ball, Taskin Ahmed took 4 important wickets, while Nahid Rana and Mustafizur Rahman took two and three wickets respectively.
After the match, Bangladesh captain Mehdi Hasan Miraz praised Tamim and some other individuals for performing brilliantly to win the match and series against Pakistan.

The captain praised the performance of his batsmen in the crucial match, saying, “We are playing well, especially Tamim, the way he batted. And of course, he played really well. And then Liton Das and Shanto and Tauheed Hridoy played really well in the middle.”
“I think Taskin bowled really well. In these overs, he took two wickets. And in the end, he got two wickets. Certainly, the momentum is there. I think throughout the series, I think Taskin, Nahid Rana bowled really well,” he added, adding how the bowlers contributed equally well to confirm the win.
