The Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh one-off Test has ended with Chevron getting a massive win over the in-form Bangladesh team at the Harare Sports Club, Harare. Richard Ngarawa, in his captaincy debut, led the team to its highest winning margin and won the match by an innings and 85 runs, marking a new beginning for the Zimbabwean team.

Now, the ODI series between the two countries is set as they will face each other in a three-match ODI series starting from Monday, July 6 at the Harare Sports Club, Harare. Ahead of the ODI series, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the squad for the T20I series, which will be followed by the 50-over format.
Tauheed Hridoy will captain Bangladesh against Zimbabwe
The Bangladesh national cricket team has appointed Tauheed Hridayoy as the captain for the series, while Liton Das will be absent during the series due to his commitment towards the Lanka Premier League (LPL). Liton has been leading the team in the shortest format of the game since 2025. Hridayoy will be leading the national team away from home for the first time.

Tauheed Hridayoy has earlier also led the team in the Australia series. However, they did not have the best performance in the series, as the Australian team made a 3–0 clean sweep of the Bangla Tigers in the series. However, Hridayoy would be looking forward to new challenges and would have learned from his mistakes as a captain in the first series.
Liton Das has been ruled out of the T20I series against Australia after suffering a Grade 1 left calf muscle injury during the third ODI.
