Former Pakistani Test head coach and Australian fast bowler Jason Gillespi praised Pakistan Shaheen captain Irfan Khan Niazi after his impressive performance in the top end T20 series. Jason Gilespie has called Irfan Khan Niazi a “quality and excellent” player.

Perth Scormers Academy vs Pakistan Shaheen Semi -final highlight

Meanwhile, Perth Scormers ended the Dream run of Shaheen in the Top and T20 series 2025 with a 48 -run win in the semi -finals at Darwin’s Garden Oval on 24 August. It was a double heartbreak for Shaheens, as they crashed in the same phase last year.

Chasing 156, Shaheen started a terrible start, losing three wickets for just 17 runs within the first five overs. Irfan Khan and Khwaja Nafe briefly put the innings with a stand of 38 runs, but after running away, they faced a dramatic collapse.

Wasim Junior tried his best with 25, but it was not enough against the disciplined bowling of the Scormers, as Shaheen recalled for 107 in 17.1 overs, remembering the opportunity to make it in the final.
