PCB set to leave ICC revenue share section from central contracts

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board is ready for a bold step that can hit the player’s earnings. Reports suggest that PCB is ready to remove 3% ICC revenue share clause from central contracts. This section was included two years ago after the pressure of the players on the board.

If this happens, the contracted cricketers are likely to see a dip in their overall income. The PCB has allegedly decided in the midst of increasing disappointment within the board over the team’s poor performance. This can be the final year for the section.

Interestingly, PCB has increased the retainship budget from last year’s 854 million to about 1.17 billion PKR by 37% – but they have no plans to increase match fees. This means that players will continue to earn the same way: about 12 lakh PKR for a test, six lakhs for one ODI and four lakhs for T20I.

Javed Miandad Slam selector to kill Babar Azam from Asia Cup 2025

On the other hand, legendary Pakistani cricketer Javed Miandad slammed national selectors to leave Babar Azam for the upcoming Asia Cup 2025.

Miandad said in a viral video, “They don’t even know anything. Have they ever played cricket? Those who have played at a certain level, now they are deciding on Babar Azam’s selection. What can they really see? Babar Azam is a great player. Up and Downs are part of the game. Cricket is like a radio.”
