Avesh Khan told PTI, “Yes, we have planned a little against him. But his hitting ability is very surprising. And he hits very well. He impressed everyone in the IPL. We also planned against him. But we were successful in one match. In the second match we were not successful against him.”

“So, it feels great. An emerging cricketer, a young cricketer has been called for India at the age of 15-16. And I want to wish him all the best. May he play well wherever he plays. May he play to his strengths.”

“We always try to find the weakness”- Avesh Khan on Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s weakness

Avesh Khan also explained how he planned against Vaibhav Suryavanshi while discussing with the video analyst and finding out the southpaw’s weaknesses and strengths. However, despite being out on a bouncer, Vaibhav has hit the same ball out of the park as well.

“And as far as planning is concerned, we always think that when we sit with the video analysts or coaches, we always try to find the weakness of the batsman. Where can we find his weakness? And we try to bowl there. Because whenever there are meetings, the video analysts always tell us that this particular player has low scoring shots at this position. Or it is difficult to score here.”

“So, we work more on those things. Where to keep the line and length? Where to aim on the pad line or wide line? Is he weak in bouncers or weak in slow bowlers? So, we sit with the video analysts and look at all those things. And we make a special plan for each batsman. And we try to implement it in the match.”
