India are set to tour Australia for the white-ball phase, starting with a three-match ODI series in Perth on October 19. The 50-over series will be followed by a five-match T20 series in early November.
Shubman Gill will captain India for the first time in ODIs, marking the beginning of a new era for Indian cricket, while stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma make their much-awaited comebacks after long breaks. For Australia, Mitchell Marsh is leading the team in a period of transition, aiming to bounce back from consecutive bilateral defeats. The Indian team, considered the No. 1 ODI team globally, enters with confidence, being unbeaten in its last eight ODIs and fresh from a Champions Trophy win.
After the ODI, the T20 series will start from October 29, in which Suryakumar Yadav will captain India. The team includes Asia Cup stars Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Verma hardik pandya Unavailable due to injury. Meanwhile, Australia will be high on confidence after defeating New Zealand under Marsh’s captaincy.
