Richardson will remain associated with cricket after retirement

However, Richardson has already revealed his retirement plans in October 2025, saying that his body can no longer handle the heavy demands of professional cricket.

The Australian fast bowler was quoted by the Herald Sun as saying, “I dare say this will be my last year. It’s going to be really tough with the training load required for the game. I think over the last two years I’ve definitely struggled with my body to play every game. I’m not in that condition anymore, so if I can play a small role, that’s what I want.”

However, even after retiring from playing, Richardson wants to remain involved with the game in some role, possibly through coaching, while enjoying a comfortable life in rural New South Wales.

I’ve got 10 acres of land, a small hobby farm, and I’ve got two young boys, so I’ll keep them out of trouble.”
