There is a problem in broadcasting Pakistan vs Australia T20I series.
Just weeks before the upcoming T20 World Cup, the three-match T20I series between Pakistan and Australia in Lahore is struggling to find a broadcaster in Australia. The biggest problem in the upcoming T20I matches is timing and star power which is very important for both the teams.
All matches are scheduled to start at 10pm (AEDT), which Australian broadcasters consider a not so useful slot with limited reach to cricket audiences. Additionally, the absence of big Australian players has made the Pakistan series much less attractive for broadcasters.

Many of Australia’s biggest stars including Glenn Maxwell, Tim David, Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood have been rested as part of workload management ahead of the T20 World Cup 2027. With these crowd-pullers missing, Australian TV networks feel that series lack the excitement needed to attract strong audiences.
T20I series has become difficult to sell due to late night timings and missing star power
This situation has reportedly turned the Pakistan vs Australia series into a tough sell, as broadcasters have been hesitant to invest, despite the historic rivalry between the two teams, leaving the series without any broadcaster in Australia so far.
It is difficult to find a TV network within two days, as the T20 series is scheduled to begin on January 29 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, while the last two matches will be held on January 31 and February 1. On the other hand, the T20 World Cup will start on February 7 in India and Sri Lanka.
