The second ODI of the Bangladesh vs Australia three-match series is already underway at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka. After winning the first ODI by 86 runs (DLS) method and created history by defeating the Australian team at home for the first time, also winning against them after 21 years. Bangladesh are completely in favor of Josh Inglis in the second ODI.
Josh Inglis won the toss and elected to bat first; However, he did not have a good start. For the first time in its ODI history, Australia lost three wickets without scoring any runs. It has been an amazing start for the home team in Dhaka. This is only the fourth instance of a team slipping to 0/3 in all men’s ODI matches.

Australia made an unwanted record
There are three previous examples in men’s ODI history: Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka at Pietermaritzburg in the 2003 World Cup, where Chaminda Vaas took a hat-trick; Pakistan vs South Africa at Lahore (1997), Pakistan vs New Zealand at Birmingham (1983 World Cup), both times Pakistan lost three wickets for naught. Now Australia has done this for the fourth time.
They lost openers Matthew Short and Cooper Connolly for ducks, and then Matt Renshaw also returned without opening an account as Australia were 0/3 after the first two overs. Now, captain Inglis is at the crease, and he will look to recover from the top-order collapse in the game, and try to score as many runs as possible.
As Alex Carey lost the wicket for 13 runs, the Australian team was reduced to 25/4 and looked to be in deep trouble. They have struggled against spin in the last series against Pakistan and now against the pace of Bangladesh. Mustafizur Rahman is the best bowler so far with three wickets. If Australia loses this match, it will lose the series for the first time in cricket history.

Now Cameron Green and Josh Inglis are building a partnership between them and will look to rotate the strike and keep the scoreboard ticking as, after all, Marnus Labuschagne is the only proper batsman for the team.
We are looking to improve- Josh Inglis during the toss
During the toss, Josh Inglis said, “We can improve on all three aspects of the game, small differences, but we want to improve. Riley Meredith has replaced Liam Scott. Just a bit more pace for us.”
Mehdi Hasan Miraj said, “It was a great first match and today was a great opportunity (to win the series). We need more partnerships with the bat; the bowlers are doing well and we need to build momentum. One change: Soumya Sarkar replaces Saif Hasan. It’s unfortunate for Saif, but Soumya has been batting well in the last few matches and he has experience.”
