After the weeks delay and the back scenes, all obstacles have been allegedly approved, and the much awaited full program of the upcoming Asia Cup 2025 is expected to be announced within the next two days, possibly as Saturday, 26 July.
After the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting in Dhaka, things have become easier between India, Pakistan and Bangladesh Cricket Boards, as the Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) is now ready to make an official announcement about the upcoming Asia Cup 2025.

As reported by Cricbuzz, the schedule for the upcoming T20 tournament can be announced in stages, possibly on Saturday, the rest of Monday, coming on Monday, 27 July. The Asia Cup is expected to be held from 10 to 28 September, but the dates are still being finalized.

The official announcement will be made through the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) platform, when the BCCI wraps formalities with its commercial partners. On the other hand, Dubai and Abu Dhabi are the most likely places for continental tournaments.
As the official host, the BCCI is preparing the final draft. It is said that there may be a slight adjustment to match the time or fixtures, but the Asia Cup 2025 window is closed for the second and third week of September.
Meanwhile, the report suggested that the upcoming T20 tournament features eight teams: India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, UAE, Hong Kong and Oman. A total of 19 matches are expected to be played with the possibility of being on 28 September.
India and Pakistan are expected to be placed in the same group, which may lead to three high-voltage clashes between the two, one in the-super 4S, one in the super 4S, and possibly another in the final. However, BCCI is yet to finalize commercial partners for the incident.
Recently, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia has confirmed that an official announcement about the Asia Cup 2025 will be made soon. He mentioned that all preparations are moving in the right direction, and fans may expect to share full details within a few days.
Devjit Saikia was told by PTI: “Our vice -president Rajiv Shukla attended the ACC meeting. He will brief the members. I do not believe in speculation, so you will officially come to know in a few days time.”
In particular, India and Pakistan recently faced each other in a group stage of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai. India won that match and went to raise the trophy against New Zealand after 12 years earlier this year.
The tournament was to be hosted in Pakistan, but it was held under a hybrid model as the BCCI refused to allow the Indian cricket team to cross the border. As a result, all matches in India, including semi -finals and finals, took place in Dubai, UAE.
