The Indian Premier League (IPL) president, Arun Dhumal, has supported the bold ‘no-rival’ claim between India and T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav.
Suryakumar Yadav recently led India’s glory of Asia Cup 2025 at Dubai International Stadium, where men in Blue defeated the Pakistan National Cricket Team in an exciting final.

Under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav, India captured-Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli Yuga after their first major title. He dominated the Asia Cup 2025 and became unbeaten.
In the clash of the summit, Team India defeated Team Pakistan 3–0 for the third consecutive time in the Continental Tournament to complete the sweep 3–0 and win their 9th Asia Cup title.
However, they are still waiting to get their hands on the trophy as PCB President and ACC President, Mohsin Naqvi, ran away with the trophy and the Indian players refused to take it.
Meanwhile, Arun Dhumal congratulated India for its highly successful Asia Cup 2025 campaign and labeled Suryakumar Yadav -led aspect as the best team in the world.
“It is very easy to reach the top, but maintaining that situation is a very difficult task. India was the number 1 team in T20, and the way they performed brilliantly throughout the tournament, winning all their matches completely, I want to congratulate the Indian team for this.
Dhumal told IANS, “Special congratulations to Suryakumar Yadav and all team members who played outstanding cricket. By winning the championship, he has shown the world that he is the best team in the world.”

It is the decision of the Government of India that we will not play a bilateral series with Pakistan – Arun Dhumal
Arun Dhumal further said that the bilateral cricket series between India and Pakistan is not in the card in the near future as the government has decided that this will not happen.
“See, it is the decision of the Government of India that we will not play a bilateral series with Pakistan, and we fully support the decision. In this case, the BCCI will align with the government’s stand. For BCCI, the country comes first, and cricket comes forward.”
Arun Dhumal also admitted that there should not have been disputes that arose during the Asia Cup 2025.
“Many things happened, in my opinion, should not have been on the playground, but they did. Now, we should not pay attention to what has already happened. Once again, we congratulate the Indian team for their outstanding performance.”
I believe that the campaign around India -Pakistan matches has become exaggerated
Sharing his bold ideas, Arun Dhumal further said that Pakistan has no match with India because blue men are much better. He claimed that the clashes of India vs Pakistan have been ‘exaggerated’.
“I believe the campaign around India-Pakistan matches has been exaggerated. As stated earlier, these competitions are no longer they were once. If you ask any Indian for the names of 24 Pakistani players, they probably will not remember. In the past, names like Wasim Akram, Waqa Yunis and Shoab Akhtar will no longer come no longer, but they no longer.
“I also believe that matches against countries like England, New Zealand or Australia are far more competitive. Since Pakistan are our neighbors, and our relations are sometimes stressful, media goes to make extra publicity,” he said.
In particular, at a press conference during the Asia Cup, India captain Suryakumar Yadav said that there is no rivalry between India and Pakistan as blue men do not lose only with hardcore rivals.
