Indian left-arm fast bowler and India’s most successful T20I bowler Arshdeep Singh did not have a good night at his home ground recently. Arshdeep lost control against Quinton de Kock and bowled several wides in an over, which angered Gautam Gambhir. However, in the very next game the veteran fast bowler made a comeback and showed excellent control.
India has once again taken the lead in the T20 series and made a great comeback. They have once again proved why they are the defending champions and the current best T20I team in the world.
After losing to South Africa who scored 200+ runs on a batting track in New Chandigarh, the Indians turned the tables on a more healthy bowling track in Dharamshala. The bowling featured some surprising lateral pace for the fast bowlers and wickets kept falling at regular intervals, affecting the Protea innings.
Arshdeep Singh returns to Dharamshala after humiliation in New Chandigarh
India went from Cuttack to New Chandigarh victorious and confident, but they were not aware that the Proteas were ready and determined to make a comeback. The best part of this South Africa series has been their fight; The T20 World Cup runners-up never give up till the last moment.
Quinton de Kock was at his best as he thrashed the Indian bowlers at New Chandigarh, which is often considered one of the finest batting tracks in India at present. Left-arm fast bowler Arshdeep Singh, who started with the new ball for India, was also hit for runs, but the most humiliating part came in the third over of his spell.
When de Kock was batting fluently, he was brought back into the attack in search of wickets or at least to control the flow of runs. After being hit for a six while bowling the ball on the stumps, Arshdeep modified his strategy and aimed for the wide line.
He wanted to tease the wickets of left-handed batsmen, but in an attempt to do so, he kept bowling wide outside the off-stump and also around the leg-stump in the over. Due to this he bowled the longest over of his career. Arshdeep did not take any wicket in that game and gave away 54 runs in his 4 overs, of which 10+ were extras.
Coming off this disastrous spell, the Indian bowler with the highest T20I wicket taker really had to make a comeback and the same happened in Dharamsala. Arshdeep dismissed the batsman on several occasions by teasing the outside edge. His tight spell gave Harshit Rana an opportunity to attack from the other end.
Arshdeep took 2/13 in his 4-over spell, dismissing right-handed batsmen Reeza Hendricks and Aiden Markram as India restricted the Proteas to 117.
Arshdeep trolls Indian head coach with ‘wide-ball’ celebration after wicket in Dharamsala
During Arshdeep Singh’s last game at home, when he lost control and his strategies failed as he kept bowling wide balls, Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir, who is widely known for his animated reactions, was seen fuming at the pace bowler’s insensitivity.
he shouted from the dugout and glared at the fast bowler. On the other hand, Arshdeep Singh is also known to have a quirky side, which he also showed during the Asia Cup. After his economic magic and intense control, Arshdeep Singh immediately started making fun of his coach.
When Arshdeep celebrated after taking the wicket, he made ‘Wide’ gesture with his arms. Although it has been tagged as trolling on the internet, it can also be seen as a healthy and competitive conduct between a coach and his players.

Hardik Pandya becomes the third Indian bowler to take 100+ T20I wickets
In the game, almost everyone who bowled took a wicket. Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya was the third bowler to be used and he also made a significant breakthrough in the game. He dismissed Tristan Stubbs and completed his 100 T20 wickets. Pandya is the third after Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah to break this milestone.
Also, on the other hand, Varun Chakravarthy bowled a brilliant spell of 2/11 in his 4 overs and completed 50 T20I wickets for India. He is the second fastest player to achieve the feat for India after Kuldeep Yadav who achieved the feat in 30 matches.
